High on The Shelf

a folk song with musical interludes between verses – lyrics by Robert Braathe – creative direction by Sarah Schriner – seeking music and a vocalist

If that Tic Tac rack is up too high on the shelf
Put the knick knack back and start to rely on yourself
It helps

It’ll take a grand or two to turn this place into a museum
There’s a man on the news who tells lies in his place of freedom
He yelps

There’s a ladder out back to get to things that are high on the shelf
When this life is outta whack you should start to rely on yourself
It helps

Put a Soda or two in the cart because they are high on the shelf
If my motor skills were better I’d grab em down by myself
It helps
