Lovely Walking Night by Robert Braathe

Lovely Walking Night
I took her for a walk after we talked about Mexico

The sun was still shining and I was feeling kinda low

But in the hours left I knew my earth would really shake

And I stood there next to her knowing that my streak would break.
When she said goodbye I knew it was only a good night

No care in the world didn’t need to pick a fight.

As I gave her cheek a little bitty kiss

I knew right then that it would eventually come to this.
She-ee-ee belongs inside the light

We-ee-ee had a lovely walking night

He-ee-ee is gonna be out of sight.

I will Be-ee-ee yours and you’ll be mine
I found a little court just north of central 5

Where I could see her really come alive

Seeing her spin a serve that came my way

Didn’t really matter if I could make a decent play.
As we moved to a place till about half past ten

She made me me sign a book with an old felt tip pen

Wanted to see just what she read between the lines

And I knew I’d see one day her dressed to the nines.
She-ee-ee belongs inside the light

We-ee-ee had a lovely walking night

He-ee-ee is gonna be out of sight.

I will Be-ee-ee yours and you’ll be mine
She-ee-ee belongs inside the light

We-ee-ee had a lovely walking night

He-ee-ee is gonna be out of sight.

I will Be-ee-ee yours and you’ll be mine
